This is copied directly from my MySpace page.
To summarize myself in as few words as possible...
First and foremost, I'm a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual. I went through mental and emotional hell to become the woman I am today, and I couldn't be any prouder than I am of that accomplishment. I've been hurt along the journey, but it has only served to make me a stronger person.
I'm very optimistic, open-minded, and non-judgemental. The only people I usually dislike are those who dislike me. Even if I know someone doesn't like me, I still try to be nice to them.
I admit to being a huge geek who spends too much time reading and playing video games, but I also spend time doing other things. I may not like sports, but I love being outdoors. Camping and hiking are some of my favorite activities.
I refuse to harbor regrets or grudges. Life is too short for those kinds of things.
I refuse to change just because somebody wants me to. I am who I am and I do what I do. If you can't accept that, it's your problem.
I'm extremely introverted when I'm by myself or around people I don't know well, but loud and obnoxious when I'm around good friends.
My social beliefs are way on the liberal side, but I still adore the über-conservative musical genre known as country.
I was involved in Scouting for over a decade, earned my Eagle Scout, and I really miss it now that I'm out of it.
If I'm being paid to do a job, I do it as best I can. Otherwise, I'm pretty lazy (and I'm trying to change).
I'm an Elsner, so I like to argue. Unlike some people, I'll admit I'm wrong if you can show me why. Oftentimes I'll keep arguing a point even if I know I'm wrong though. It amuses me to see others get riled up.
I like to learn new things, especially if they're utterly useless.
I'm not as sesquipedalian or as much of a grammar Nazi as Ben, but I come somewhat close. This is your warning.
I don't know what color my hair is. It's between a really dark blonde and a really light brown. I've never had any type of dye or bleach put in it and I never plan to.
I hate insurance companies. They're all a bunch of money-grubbing assholes who will do anything they can to get out of paying money to their clients when they need it. It's all a big scam. (I've had some issues with them before, if you can't tell.)
My friends are extremely important to me. I'll do pretty much anything for them that they need me to. I'll also lend an ear to anyone who needs it and do whatever I can to try and help them. I've been through the depths of an insanely deep depression and I don't want to see anybody else end up there.
I love to have fun. I laugh a lot, and I love people who can make me laugh. A good sense of humor is about the best thing in the world.
I've only got one life to live, so I'm going to live my life to the fullest. I'd much rather die young while enjoying life than live a long life and spend most of it being miserable. Carpe diem!
It may seem like some of my opinions, beliefs, likes, dislikes, and such contradict each other, but they really don't. Chances are, there's something you don't know about me that will reconcile the seemingly contradictory positions.
And finally, I've got a horrible tendency to ramble. This was supposed to be a quick summary, but look at it now...
